In the first home game of the 2023-2024 season, Texas State defeated their arch-rivals, the UTSA Roadrunners, in a 72-62 win.
Texas State’s early season undefeated run continued on, as the Bobcats defeated the UTRGV Vaqueros , 66-63.
Texas State was unable to corral Arkansas State, as the Red Wolves broke their three-game losing streak with a 77-31 victory over the ‘Cats.
Two Rattler baseball seniors signed on the dotted line to continue both their athletic and academic careers as Kutter Gage Webb signed with Texas State and Reagan Chomel signed with Western Texas College.
Texas State offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich was named a nominee for the 2023 Broyles Award, which is an annual honor given to the best assistant coach in college football.
