Colton’s Corner: Wrapping up another season in sports
We finally made it through another year of sports here in San Marcos.
The Texas State defense swarms the Lamar Cardinal offense in the first meeting between the two teams since 1989. Texas State will take on Lamar for the first time since 2011 in both the season and home opener of the 2024 season.

Bobcats earn multiple all-conference honors
Texas State earned multiple Sun Belt Track and Field conference honors following the completion of the conference outdoor meet.

Texas State Softball completed their 40th season as a program first starting in 1984. The Bobcats have competed in the Gulf Star Conference, Southland Conference, Western Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference.
The Rattlers competed hard during the annual Purple and White spring game. White rolled over the Purple en route to a 42-10 win. This will be the last time the Rattlers will be in pads before coming in August to start fall practice.
