Texas State announced its 2021 soccer schedule on Friday, featuring 17 regular season matches, six of which will take place at Bobcat Soccer Complex.
The maroon and gold will host I-35 rival UTSA in an exhibition on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. It’ll be Texas State’s first home scrimmage since the 2014 season.
The team will then kick off the 2021 slate with six-straight road contests, beginning with Incarnate Word on Aug. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in San Antonio. The Bobcats will see Prairie View A&M in Prairie View on Aug. 22 at 1 p.m., North Texas in Denton on Aug. 26 at 7 p.m., Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches on Aug. 29 at 1 p.m., Rice in Houston on Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. and Abilene Christian in Abilene on Sept. 5 at 1 p.m.
Texas State returns to San Marcos when it hosts Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sept 12 at 1 p.m. It then begins conference play with a pair of home matches, facing Coastal Carolina on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. and Georgia State on Sept. 19 at 12 p.m.
The Bobcats follow it up with road games at South Alabama on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. and at Troy on Sept. 26 1 p.m. They’ll then play two more home matches against Arkansas State on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. and Little Rock on Oct. 3 at 1 p.m.
The maroon and gold will compete in their final three road matches of the season at Georgia Southern on Oct. 8 at 5 p.m., at Appalachian State on Oct. 10 at 12 p.m. and at Louisiana on Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. The team’s Senior Day will be held at the Bobcat Soccer Complex against Louisiana-Monroe on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
The Sun Belt tournament is set to be held in Foley, Ala. from Nov. 1-7. All 11 teams in the conference will compete in the event.
