Hernandez was born on February 7, 1947 in El Paso, Texas.

Izzy was a special type of person. She was always quick to give so much of herself without taking or asking for anything in return. She was unique in so many ways, She was a good girl, and took a piece of our hearts with her the day she passed. She will be deeply missed.

Hernandez is survived by brother Gene Ray Hernandez, who lives in San Marcos, Texas.
