Michael Romero

Our beloved, Michael Romero, passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on October 19, 2019, surrounded by his beloved family. Michael was born to Janie Olivo and Arthur Joseph Romero on October 24, 1956. He grew up on Fredricksburg Street along with his family.  Michael proudly served in the United States Navy from 74-76. He received his Associates Degree from Sam Houston College. He was employed by SWT for several years.  His most recent employment was with Carts-Greyhound where he worked until prevented by his health.

Michael was a proud supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. He enjoyed spending time playing bingo with his two sisters and also enjoyed random trips to the Lucky Eagle Casino.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Janie Romero; and his brothers, Arthur J. Jr, Manuel, Robert and Dennis Romero.

He is survived by his loving sons, John (Ibett) Romero of the Woodlands, Texas & Joshua M. (Edra) Romero of San Marcos, Texas; his grandchildren, Xavier, Ariel and Audrey Romero, Aryiel and Ethan Reyes, and one great-grandson, Sabashton “Topher” Romero.

Michael is also survived by his sisters, Mary Jayne Cerda and Debbie Romero-Lopez (Marko Lopez) of San Antonio, Tx. Special nieces, Lindsey Lopez and Jackie Cerda. Special nephew, Ryan Cerda along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We would like to extend a heart-warming thank you to Nacho & Janie Facundo for all their help. We’d also like to thank Fresenius of San Marcos and San Antonio, Texas for the medical services and compassion shown to our brother.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Michael touched are invited to the Legends Funeral Home in San Marcos Texas, from 1-2:30 on Friday, October 25. 2019 for a memorial service.
