Our beloved Leticia Ann (Eureste) Avila, age 59, resident of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 10, 2019. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Rosendo Eureste and Margarita (Zavala) Eureste; sisters Lucia A. Eureste and Veronica (Eureste) Ybarra. 

She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Avila. They were happily married for 14 years. Brothers: Benjamin Eureste, Jerome Eureste, Thomas Eureste and fiancé Sandy Gil; twin sister, Rosalinda (Eureste) De La Rosa and John; sister-in-law Annette Avila, and niece, Marina Avila. She leaves behind her beloved “babies” Cha-cha and Bobo and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends. 

Leticia loved being a nurse and worked as an LVN for 32 years starting in San Marcos working with the elderly, She worked at Brackenridge Hospital. In her final years as a nurse, She taught classes to young mothers in the WIC program employed with the City of Austin. Also gave immunizations to infants and children. 

Leticia and Charles enjoyed all life had to offer, they loved dancing and were soul mates. They shared a lifetime of loving in their short time together. All are saddened by our loss. 

Leticia was firm in her Catholic upbringing and loved our dear Lord and his Heavenly Mother with her whole heart. Many prayers and pilgrimages were performed in their honor. 

Visitation will begin at 4 - 9 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 @ Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas with Recitation of the Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas. Rev. Father John Boiko will officiate. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas. 

Serving as Pallbearers: Jacob Valdez, Richard Anthony Eureste, Michael James Eureste, Johnny De La Rosa, IV, John Matthew Ybarra, and Dominic Eureste.
