Marilyn continued her work in the education field, being a classroom teacher and later an assistant principal in a middle school. After retirement she and Reeves moved to Georgetown, Texas, where they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with their two children and their families. She enjoyed playing the piano at the Sing-Alongs at both the church’s PALS programs and at the Wesleyan Nursing Home in Georgetown. Marilyn went home to be with Jesus on July 27, 2019. She and Reeves were members of The First United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Reeves Baldwin Perry, son, Bruce Reeves Perry and wife Camarie of Georgetown, Texas, daughter, Brenda Perry Clark and husband Russell of Apollo Beach, Florida, four grandchildren: Cale Perry, Brooke Perry, Coral Clark, and Kai Clark, one sister, Sylvia Butler and husband Jerry of Llano, Texas, one brother, Herbert Kothmann and wife Donna of Llano, Texas, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gleasen and Ruby Kothmann, sister Glendine Crider and husband Clifford.
Friends are invited to a visitation with family on the evening of Friday, August 2 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Llano City Cemetery at 1 p.m. Reverend Jim Turley will officiate, and grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.
