Juan Jose (JoJo) Villalpando
JoJo will be lovingly remembered by his brother Jonas Villalpando Jr (Carmen) and his sister Maria Elena Zamora (Gilbert). JoJo will also be fondly remembered by his nieces Janette Villalpando Moreno (Johnny), Eric Villalpando (Deborah), Erica Villalpando, and Nicole and Natalie Zamora, along with 3 great nieces, 2 great nephews, 3 great great nieces and 1 great great-nephew.
JoJo graduated from San Marcos High School on 1972. He then pursued a career following his father and brother’s footsteps being an auto mechanic for many years. He worked a long side his father’s business known in San Marcos as Lee’s Garage for many years and later known as Jonas Jr Auto & transmission Clinic. JoJo was also part of the Ford family in San Marcos. His final days were spent working at Take 5 Oil Change Shop 209 as a Certified Tech and Certified Inspector in San Marcos. Along with being an auto mechanic, he traveled many places with his parents and siblings. He took on a business of DJing in the San Marcos area for many local businesses in the 80s and 90s. He also taught others how to DJ. He was also known to speak in local radio station in Lockhart, Texas. He was known to attend dances and enjoyed dancing like his mother.
Family, friends. and others whose lives JoJo touched are invited to a Rosary service that will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at St John Catholic Church, with Mass to follow at 11 a.m.
