Betty Marie (Butler) Williamson, 89, of San Marcos, TX was called home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Betty was born on October 3, 1934 in San Marcos, TX to Fred W. Butler, Jr. and Vedith Edna Belver Butler. She graduated from San Marcos High School and worked as a secretary in several organizations, including the Air Force ROTC at Southwest Texas State University, and ultimately retiring from a 15-year career at Texas Parks & Wildlife. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to live-music, two-step dancing, gardening, deer and bird-watching, girlsday shopping trips, and everything 'Texas.' Betty is preceded in death by her parents and eldest daughter, Cindy Lee Williamson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristi Williamson Bira and Michael Bira; daughter Kathi Williamson Snell; granddaughters Lindsay and Lauren Bira, granddaughter and grandson- in-law Samantha Snell Brooker and Matt Brooker; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Mikayla Snell Saenz and Bryan Saenz; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann Butler Blackburn and Robert ‘Bud’ Blackburn; her niece, Robin Blackburn; and her two favorite people in the world: her great-grandchildren Adalyn and Olivia Brooker.
