On August 11, 1953, was born in Buda, Texas, to Wyatt 'Jake' Bynum Green and his wife, Ada Ferguson Green.

After attending Southwest Texas State University, Ray went on to attend Saint Mary's Law school where he earned a Juris Doctorate in 1979.

After graduating from St. Mary's Law School, Ray married the love of his life, Patricia 'Patty' Gay Green. They had two children, Sandra Lynn and Steven Ray.

Ray went on to have a successful law practice specializing in criminal defense. His wife, Patty, worked beside him as his secretary. Together, they built a business focused on helping people.

On April 22, 2024, Ray passed peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by his father, Wyatt 'Jake' Bynum Green, his mother, Ada Ferguson Green, his brother, John Wyatt Green, his sister, Marilyn Green Day and her husband James 'Jimmy' Clayton Day, and his sister Paula Green Michaud and her husband Pete Michaud.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Patty Green, his daughter, Sandra 'Sandi' Green Patino, her husband Homer Patino, III, and their children, Faith Rosalynd Patino and Homer Wyatt Ray 'Lil' Ray' Patino, IV, and his son, Steven Ray Green and his wife Heather Owens Green.

A viewing will be held at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 6 to 8pm.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 10am at Pennington Funeral Home.

Afterward, Ray will be laid to rest at Barton Cemetery in Buda.
