of Bee Cave, Texas passed away on April 1st, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on August 31st, 1950, and raised in San Marcos, Texas, he was the beloved son of the late Wille Ben and Elenora Schawe and elder brother to Jackie.

As a graduate of Texas State University, he received a Bachelor of Business Administration and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity where he met many lifelong friends and future business partners.

In San Antonio, Don met Debbie, the love of his life. They shared 40 years of marriage and were blessed with two children, Brandon and BreAnn, who were the pride and joy of his life.

He was known for his strong work ethic, spending 23 years in medical sales and over three decades in real estate development throughout rural central Texas. He valued the moments shared with his family and friends while fishing, hunting, cattle ranching, and boating on Texas lakes.

Don's greatest legacy was the love and devotion he brought to his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. His memory will forever be cherished by his beloved wife Debbie, his son Brandon Schawe and daughter-in-law Andrea, his daughter BreAnn Hudson and son-in-law Travis, his brother Jackie Schawe and sister-in-law Vicki, and his treasured grandchildren: Hays, Lyndon, Lane, and Ella.

Family and friends are invited to honor Don's life during the visitation on Thursday April 11th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, and the funeral service on Friday, April 12th at 2:00 PM. Both services will take place at Pennington Funeral Home, located at 323 N. Comanche St., San Marcos, Texas. Don will be laid to rest at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in San Marcos, Texas.
