of San Marcos, TX passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the age of 82.

Born in San Marcos on March 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Willie G. Posey and Louise E. Posey (Meeks). He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Carolyn Ann.

Willie was a staple in the ready-mix concrete industry, well respected among his colleagues for his wealth of knowledge. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his time hunting and fishing. He was also known for his incredible collection of Native American artifacts, most of which he unearthed himself and proudly displayed at various events throughout the country. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Shelton Posey and his wife Jesarah of Charlotte, TX; his brother Hollis Posey of Fischer, TX; his sister Beverly Posey Morrison and her husband Reece of New Braunfels, TX; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, April 3 at Pennington Funeral Home, 323 N. Comanche St. San Marcos. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 4 at San Marcos City Cemetery Chapel, 1001 Old Ranch Rd. 12 San Marcos. Relatives and friends invited.
