Bobby Dale Dupree, 85, of San Marcos, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Ascension Seton Hospital. He was born at home in Kyle to Jodie Brown and Irma Alma (Hanke) Dupree on September 12, 1938, the fifth of six children.

Bobby Dale is preceded in death by his parents, brothers J.C, Edward and Curtis Dupree; and sister, Louise Dupree Simon. Bobby is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edith Duane; son, Christopher Dupree, and daughter, Laurie Brown (fiancé Bennie Wyly); grandchildren, Sarah Brown, William Brown and wife Mariah and Hannah and Reagan Dupree; and great-grandchildren, Riley Benek, William Jr. and Jamison Brown, and his baby sister, Betty Jane Dupree Parker and husband Doug of Florida; and many nieces, nephews.

Contributions in Bobby Dale Dupree's memory can be made to his favorite charities: The Histiocytosis Association and Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child. (see Pennington website for links) Service is Monday, February 19th, 2:00pm at Pennington Funeral Home. Burial will follow at San Marcos City Cemetery.

A reception will be held for family and friends at Westover Baptist Church 1910 Advance St, San Marcos (off Bishop St).
