He married Daisy Wetter on November 29, 1997, in San Marcos, Texas. He was employed with Texaco, Inc. and Huntsman Chemical Company as a chemist for a total of 42 years; and was a member of the American Chemical Society. Edmund was active in the Garden Club in San Marcos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Helen Sawyer, and his first wife, Audrey. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Daisy Fisher Wetter Kubeck; stepsons James Wetter (Helen) and Jeffrey Wetter Sr. (Jennifer); daughters Kristina Kubeck and Andrea Totten; nephew Gene Sawyer; and grandchildren Jeffrey Jr., Michael, John, Julia and Jill.

He will be interred at St. James Catholic Cemetery in McMinnville, Oregon.
