Lloyd Oliver Parks
During the Vietnam War, he served in the Thirteenth Air Force headquartered at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii. During his service, he was stationed at U-Tapao military airfield in Thailand and ended his service with the 5th Mobile Communications Group based at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia.
He received his B.S. in Industrial Arts at Southwest Texas State University. He worked for many years in the Electric Heat Tracing industry, was a partner in an Architectural firm as a Certified Construction Specifier, and later became a Master Electrician, founding and owning Spur Electric in Seabrook TX.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Suni Parks of Jacksonville, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Kevin Elrod of Maxwell, TX. He is further survived by sister, Ceri Williams of LaGrange, TX; sister, Marilynn Steckel of Slatington, PA; and brother, Gene Parks of Jones Creek, TX.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a memorial donation to Texas Hospice Services or a charity of choice.
