Nathan Armando Villarreal, Sr.
Jr. and sister-in-law Sandy Villarreal of Bolivar, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other extended family. Nathan was predeceased by a beloved sister, Sonya, and brother, Mark.
Born July 10, 1965 in Los Gatos, California, Nathan grew up and spent the majority of his life in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. He graduated from the High School for Performing and Visual Arts in Houston in 1983, and later from Concordia University in 2012. At the time of his illness, Nathan was working as a substitute teacher in Corpus Christi while completing his postgraduate studies and internship for counseling and his teacher certification. Throughout his adult life, Nathan was active in music and youth ministry, providing the gift of music at churches in Houston, San Marcos, Geronimo and Corpus Christi. A talented singer, actor, dancer, and director, Nathan also participated extensively in community theater in Wimberley, San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Nathan at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at the VFW Hall at 1701 Hunter Road in San Marcos.
