Gilbert Prado Perez
Gilbert Prado Perez
Gilbert was the youngest sibling of ten. To say he was a bit favored is an understatement, but as the baby of the family despite his age he was and always will be the baby of the family. Gilbert didn’t like being referred to as the youngest because he thought being over 18 years of age disqualified him, but his parents thought different. Gilbert left an imprint on every family member, so much so that his absence has made a huge dent in all our daily lives. He was a genuine hugger and every time we arrived at the house, he would greet you with one of his 'bear hugs' and he always told us that he loved us. As his family we are most honored to have his example of a humble, giving and loving man. He knew no stranger and easily befriended anyone who was short of food or clothes. Gilbert gave like no other and he walked the true spirit of ‘feeding the hungry and clothing the needy’, and we have faith in believing that he is being rewarded in eternity according to the word, Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you.”
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Pennington Funeral Home, Rene Ferrer (Funeral Director), Deacon Jeff Cadenhead from St. Anthony’s Marie de Claret and Julian Euresti for his praise and worship. In addition, the family expresses their thanks to many of you who sent prayers and food during this time. May you each be repaid in abundance of blessings.
Due to the current pandemic events, the family held a private burial service on July 25, 2020. Gilbert was laid to rest at San Juan Cemetery, Reedville, TX.
