Showcasing 20 legendary Bob Dylan songs, “Girl From The North Country” will make its Austin premiere April 23 - 28 as part of Texas Performing Arts Broadway in Austin series at Bass Concert Hall.
Set in a guesthouse in 1934 Duluth, Minn., “Girl From The North Country” chronicles a group of wayward travelers whose lives intersect with music, life and hope. Called a “profoundly beautiful” production by “The New York Times,” the musical features Dylan classics such as “Forever Young,” “All Along The Watchtower,” “Hurricane,” “Slow Train Coming” and “Like A Rolling Stone.” The original Broadway cast album of the show won a 2022 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
“Girl From The North Country” will run from April 23 - 28 at Bass Concert Hall in Austin with shows on Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m.; Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. (Please note the new performance times for the 2023-2024 season.)
