MUSIC AND KAYAKS

Say farewell to local beloved band Kenny Normal at Zelicks Icehouse at 7 p.m. tonight. This will be their last show. The band’s got a bluesy feel highlighted by the keyboard and saxophone. Party Fun Time band will also be playing. Grab a beer or one of their tasty margaritas and dance your booty off. I also recommend trying the food truck. Those Queso Fries are delectable. Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. there will be a 4 mile San Marcos River guided kayak trip hosted by Central Texas River trips at 5632 Central Texas Drive. Email CentralTexasRiverTrips@gmail.com for more information. If you’re feeling more like lazing around than working out, I recommend going to the river without a kayak. Just lay in it and connect with nature. This has been a very stressful time in our country, and around the world really, so let the water soothe your nerves and connect you to something greater than yourself.
