Gary Job Corps Security Cadets assisted with crowd and traffic control at LBJ Birthday Bash. This year’s event was held at Gemstone Palace in Kyle.

This year marked the 115th Birthday of President Lyndon Baines Johnson. In 1964, President Johnson signed the Act that created the Job Corps Program as part of the War on Poverty and Great Society initiatives. The Gary Job Corps Center took its first enrollees on March 2, 1965 and became coed in 1975.
