In my travels within Texas and around the world, I have been fortunate to see many natural wonders and lots of interesting wildlife.
A call to honor the planet in support of earth day has produced a vibrant, smart, and varied look at earth through 69 works of art by 42 area artists in a new gallery show hanging now through May 22 at the Price Center in downtown San Marcos. Most of the artwork is available to purchase and a portion of any proceeds benefits the nonprofit Price Center’s ongoing community arts efforts.

Texas State University and Be The Match have partnered for a bone marrow registry campaign April 1-15, concluding with a drive-up event on April 15.
The San Marcos Art League has begun its 2021 Art Squared Market season, and during the months of April (10), July (10) and October (9), they will be hosting an art supply swap for local artists of all kinds. SMAL is encouraging all artists to come to the Hays County Courthouse lawn (111 E. San Antonio St.) from 10am-1pm with their gently used art supplies and trade them out for the ones they need. This event is completely free of charge.
