A report from the Texas Oil and Gas Association shows that the state’s energy industry is showing no signs of waning, boasting record levels of crude oil production as the federal government introduced further environmental regulations that industry leaders said are designed to hinder production.

Based on the scope of the items, a shorter agenda may not equate to a shorter meeting.

The Hays County Commissioners Court is set to adopt proclamations regarding Groundhog Week and Spay and Neuter Awareness Month, possibly authorize the submission of a grant application for additional trails in San Marcos, authorize $10,000 in funding for a training academy break room, authorize $10,000 in funding for travel for officers to go to National Police Week and authorize certification of school marshals at the Sheriff's Academy at the regularly scheduled meeting at 9 a.m. today.

Checks mailed in to pay property taxes are being processed as they come in, according to the Hays County Tax Assessor.
