San Marcos CISD teachers, students attend STEM camp through unique summer program

The board of trustees received a mental health program update, heard how the new scoring matrix for STARR testing would likely impact scores and heard about a proposed redistricting plan that would result in seven single-member districts.

Nikoleta Theodoropoulou, Ph.D., an associate professor in the Department of Physics at Texas State University, has received a U.S. Department of Defense grant to research the potential of exotic materials for use in cutting-edge technologies.

The court has a busy agenda for today's regularly scheduled meeting, with the majority of the time dedicated to budget operations like the final chance for public comment on the proposed 2024 budget, final ratification of the 2024 budget, proposed property tax increases for 2024 and salary approval for elected officials.

The San Marcos CISD Board of Trustees will consider a full agenda with items related to its own formal structure, finance and bond-related construction during its regular scheduled meeting set to begin promptly at 6 p.m. Monday in the Criminal Justice Classroom- 11, San Marcos High School, 2601 Rattler Road.
