Edward Joseph De La Rosa

We commend our beloved Edward Joseph De La Rosa, 54 into the hands of our Lord. Eddie, a native of San Marcos, Texas was born on May 9, 1966 to Maria Espinoza and John De La Rosa, Jr. Eddie graduated from San Marcos High in 1985. He earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. He married the love and the best gift of his life, Ynette Clark, and lived in San Antonio. Eddie was employed at Randolph Air Force Base.

We commend our beloved Edward Joseph De La Rosa, 54 into the hands of our Lord. Eddie, a native of San Marcos, Texas was born on May 9, 1966 to Maria Espinoza and John De La Rosa, Jr. Eddie graduated from San Marcos High in 1985. He earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. He married the love and the best gift of his life, Ynette Clark, and lived in San Antonio. Eddie was employed at Randolph Air Force Base.

Eddie was a kind and joyful soul, always making people smile and laugh. In his younger years he was a Boy Scout leader and received recognition for saving a young woman’s life. He played the guitar and guitarron in a mariachi at St. John’s Catholic Church in San Marcos and was a music minister at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz. He loved ranchero music. Eddie was an aspiring artist and enjoyed painting. He also loved growing and tending to beautiful roses. Eddie and Ynette enjoyed traveling and had numerous pets.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents John and Maria De La Rosa. Eddie leaves behind his beloved wife, Ynette of 21 years, family: Mary Jane DeLaRosa and John Burke, and John and Rosalinda De La Rosa, nephews and nieces: Patty Burke Dixon, Sean, Amanda, Cisco and Burke, and Johnny and Mikaela DeLaRosa. He had many beloved pets.

Services are postponed due to COVID 19 and will be announced in the future. We appreciate your continued prayers and messages. We treasure you sharing fond memories of Eddie with us.
