San Marcos Academy sophomore midfielder Inaki Infante was named the Texas Boys’ Player of the Week by the United Soccer Coaches and MaxPreps on Wednesday.
Infante scored two goals on Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the Bears’ 13-0 win over New Braunfels Christian Academy. Infante also assisted on another three scores, a new career-high. The sophomore is now up to five goals and six assists on the year.
SMA is now 4-0 on the season, holding opponents scoreless in each match and tallying 28 goals total. The Bears will host San Antonio Atonement Academy on Monday, Jan. 6, inside Ingram Stadium at 6 p.m.
