One person is dead after a small passenger aircraft crashed Wednesday morning near the ALERRT Center in Maxwell, officials say.
San Marcos Police and Fire are working in conjunction with Hays County and the Federal Aviation Administration following Wednesday’s incident, the City of San Marcos said in a press release.
Officials say the aircraft took off from the San Marcos Regional Airport at 5:54 a.m. and lost contact with air traffic control at 5:55 a.m. The aircraft was later located on ALERRT Center property at approximately 8:03 a.m., where one deceased victim was found.
