Hubert Leon Breeden passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019, at the age of 62. He was born in Garden City, Kansas, on March 12, 1957, to Melvin and Blanche Breeden; and spent much of his childhood all across the globe as he was raised in a military family.
He graduated from Panhandle High School in North Texas, where he developed his skills in speech and debate. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas and earned his law degree from the University of Texas. He was a proud Texas Longhorn who patronized many sporting events for the University.
After becoming a partner at the law firm of Scanio and Scanio, Leon went on to open his own practice in San Marcos, Texas, which he operated for nearly 25 years.
Leon was a man of integrity and family values; his word was his bond. He was involved in many charitable events and organizations around the greater San Marcos area and his contributions will be missed. He was an avid dog lover, and his dogs were truly part of his family.
Leon is survived by his son, Bobby Breeden, his dog Emmy Lue, as well as two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019, 6–8 p.m. at Pennington Funeral Home, 323 N. Comanche, San Marcos, Texas.
