Zwiener named to House committees

State Representative Erin Zwiener is excited to serve on the Environmental Regulation Committee and Agriculture and Livestock Committees, her office said in a news releas on Wednesday, hours after the assignments were announced.

Zwiener, a Democrat who replace Republican Jason Isaac in House District 45,  said she will bring her extensive professional and education background in natural resource conservation and passion for responsive government to the two committees.

“Good public policy results from knowledge, creativity and never-ending drive to get things done,” Zwiener said. “I am excited to bring all those of those things to my committee assignments and work on the issues important to House District 45.”

Zwiener’s assignments to Environmental Regulation and Agriculture and Livestock will allow her to work on issues like water quality and clean air, and supporting the Hill Country winery and vineyard industry. In addition, she is working with her colleagues on funding for public education and improving Texans’ access to affordable health care.
