Mary D. Compton, 85 years old, of San Marcos, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. She was born on June 4, 1934, in Amarillo, Texas, to the late Dorothy Fay Daugherty and Wesley Dale Weeks. She is survived by her four children: Sharon Williamson, Kay Shaw, Judith Wren and their families, and Don Compton; and her former husband, Ross D. Compton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Texas Historical Society, First United Methodist Church – (UMW) United Methodist Women, Mothers of America in her name.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, 5– 6 p.m. at Pennington Funeral Home. Funeral Service on Monday, October 21, 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 129 W. Hutchison St, San Marcos, Texas. A private graveside service will be held after the church service.
