Clara Beth Tolliver Barber Wilson passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, September 13, 2019. She was born on May 18, 1932, at 139 W. Comanche Street in San Marcos, Texas at home to John Manney Tolliver and Allie Mae Brown Tolliver. She was their fourth child.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis P. Barber, and second husband, Lowell L. Wilson, her mother and father, brother, sisters Gaynelle Richardson and Julia M. Arceneaux, niece Reka N. Eaton, and nephew John M. Arceneaux.
She is survived by three children, Beth P. Barber, Curtis P. Barber, II, and Kenneth L. Barber (Michelle); grandchildren, Kenneth L. Barber II and Ken Nae Hampton (Will), and Nicole Huhman; great-grandchildren, Jaa’ Lah Hampton, Will Hampton, Michelle Huhman, Christiana Huhman, Derrick Huhman; one great-great granddaughter, Michelle Huhman; first-cousin, Bealuh Barksdale; sister-in-law, Walterene Tolliver; nephew George Tolliver; and niece, Iris E. Tolliver David (Terry).
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 6 – 8 p.m. and Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 24, 10 a.m, at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos. Interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
