EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

Though it’s a well-known fact, it bears repeating that this area has been home to people for over 10,000 years. With the pristine water of our sacred springs and a diverse variety of plants and wildlife, the Hill Country has sustained us for generations. This Saturday, we have the opportunity to pay our thanks to the San Marcos River and the habitat we call home with the annual Earth Day celebration at The Meadows Center. This is a free community- wide and family-friendly event at Spring Lake, the headwaters of our beloved river. The event will feature hands-on educational activities as well as live performances and demonstrations. Eco-friendly exhibitors and vendors will be on hand to showcase a variety of environmental and sustainability-related topics, so that we can be better stewards of the land we all love.
