Gary Job Corps wants to recognize Cynthia Eaglin, a distinguished Gary Job Corps alumna who exemplifies perseverance and achievement. Eaglin enrolled at Gary Job Corps from Beaumont, on June 27, 2022. During her time at the center, she completed the Office Administration program, earned her driver’s license, and later pursued advanced training in the Human Services trade. Her leadership skills shined as she served as the Student Government Association President in 2023. After successfully completing her training, Eaglin secured employment with First National Bank, where she worked for about a year before making a bold new move — enlisting in the United States Air Force. She completed her basic training in November and is now in California, training to become a Linguist. Eaglin’s journey is a testament to dedication, growth and the strong foundation she built at Gary Job Corps.
“We celebrate her accomplishments and look forward to seeing where her path takes her next,” Hope Powell, GJC Student Government Association coordinator, stated.
