Who wants to run to honor history? The San Marcos High School Air Force Junior ROTC in coordination with the Maurice T. Suttles VFW Post #3413 will be holding a Memorial Bataan March to commemorate the American and Filipino troops forced to walk 65 miles under extremely harsh conditions during World War II in what is now known as the Bataan Death March. The march begins tomorrow at 7 a.m. at the high school, located at 2601 Rattler Road, and ends at the VFW, located at 1701 Hunter Road, which is approximately 15 miles. It costs $40 to participate. Another event for tomorrow that is also family-friendly will be occurring from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Meadows Center. There will be a free Family Fun Day event for World Water Day. There will be water themed games, interactive crafts and activities to educate kids as well as the whole family about the water cycle.
