Lifelong Learning San Marcos will present a six-week series on Western Theatre History: Classical Greece to the Golden Age of Spain on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. March 25 to April 29 at the San Marcos Activity Center. The course will provide an overview of major periods in the early history of Western Theatre, including key dramatic works. The six class sessions will cover: Class 1—Origins/Classical Greece and Rome Class 2—Medieval Theatre Class 3—Renaissance Theatre: Italy Class 4—Renaissance Theatre: England, Part I Class 5—Renaissance Theatre in England, Part II, and Spain Class 6—Key Plays The series presenter Angela Latham holds a doctorate in Theatre History as well as a master’s degree in Performance Studies and Communication. A newcomer to San Marcos, Latham brings a wealth of knowledge as an educator, author, and theatre artist.
