Despite not playing during the mid-week, the Rattlers clinched a postseason berth after Buda Johnson defeated Converse Judson and Cibolo Steele defeated New Braunfels Canyon.
After snapping a 14year playoff drought last season, the Rattlers have clinched consecutive playoff berths for the first time since the 1994 and 1995 seasons.
With the win by Clemens, the Rattlers will enter the 6A Division II playoffs as the second seed. San Marcos will play Del Rio 8 p.m. Thursday at Hondo.
