The Rattlers fell in their district road game against the Converse Judson Rockets, losing 3-1.
The loss drops San Marcos overall record to 7-102 and their district record to 5-3-2.
Following the tie between Buda Johnson and Schertz Clemens, the Rattlers to third place in the district standings but are still in contention for a district championship.
San Marcos will host Cibolo Steele on Friday with a Rattler win putting the team in first place.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
