San Marcos fell in the district road against East Central, falling to the Hornets 11-0.
The loss drops the Rattlers record to 6-8 overall and their district record to 0-3.
San Marcos mustered only three hits against the Hornet pitching staff, while East Central scored in all seven innings against the Rattlers.
The Rattlers return home this week for the Rattler Spring Break Classic. San Marcos will play four games in two days in the round-robin style tournament.
San Marcos will first host Austin High at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday before playing San Antonio Southwest at 3:30 p.m. later in the day.
The Rattlers will wrap up tournament play Friday, playing Weimar at 11:30 p.m. before taking on St. Pius X at 1:30 p.m.
All games will be played at the San Marcos High School softball field.
