On June 16, 2019, Alfonso 0. Quintero, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, was called to be with our heavenly father.
Alfonso was born in San Marcos, Texas on April 29th, 1954 to Alfonso Quintero and Celia (Sally) Salazar. In 1972 he joined the Navy, he was a barber for a short time and for many years he enjoyed and loved being a dump truck driver.
Alfonso is survived by his two sons Alfonso Quintero III and Adolph Anthony Quintero (Sabrina); one daughter Bertha Trevino (Jesse); father Adolfo Salazar, sister Pam Salazar (Gilbert) 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 2 nieces. He is preceded in death by his Father Alfonso Quintero, Mother Celia (Sally) Salazar and sister Mary Jane Mendez. All of San Marcos, Texas
Alfonso fought a courageous fight for many months but at the end it was his time to be with the lord. He loved his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19th, 4-9 pm at Thomason funeral Home San Marcos, Texas. The service will be Thursday, June 20th 10:00 am at Primera Iglesia Bautista 501 S. Guadalupe San Marcos, Texas. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.
