Gaslight-Baker Theatre presents Kate Hamill’s stage adaptation of ‘Pride and Prejudice’
The Gaslight-Baker Theatre will present its production of Kate Hamill’s bold and dynamic stage adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Running from Feb. 14 through March 2, this fresh take on the beloved Jane Austen classic promises to captivate audiences with its witty dialogue, compelling characters, and fast-paced energy, all while celebrating the timeless themes of love, class and self-discovery.
Pride and Prejudice follows the spirited Elizabeth Bennet as she navigates societal expectations, familial pressure, and her complicated feelings toward the aloof yet intriguing Mr. Darcy. Kate Hamill’s adaptation brings new life to this classic story, employing humor, physicality and an innovative structure to deliver a fast-moving, engaging and often hilarious theatrical experience.
This production marks an exciting moment for the Gaslight-Baker Theatre as it kicks off its 2025 season and continues its tradition of bringing exceptional, thought-provoking performances to Lockhart and the surrounding community.
