It’s a fun Friday full of art of all kinds! I’ll be starting my night at the San Marcos Art League opening reception at 6 p.m. for their new show “Healing Hearts.” Partnering with Cenikor, the group show features work by members of the community whose lives have been touched by substance use, misuse and recovery. There are two awesome musical shows happening tonight, and I plan to clone myself so I can go to both. At 7 p.m. Alchemy Records is showcasing the new local band Purgatory Creek with support from Arbordae, True Summit, The Holy Temple and J.Dahlia. The Price Center is featuring Cookie Tongue with local musician Molly J. Hayes opening. It starts at 7 p.m. Additionally the show will feature stand up comedy, and the event is sponsored by Roughhouse Brewing.
