The Rattlers captured their first home win of the season, beating the Belton Tigers 1-0 in the final non-district game of the season.
San Marcos improves to 2-7 overall.
Max Guzman scored the game winning goal for the Rattlers in the second half, hitting the game winning shot from over 20 yards out in the left corner of the net from the opposite side of the field to seal the win.
San Marcos will start district play on the road tonight in a showdown with Hays County rival Buda Johnson. The Jaguars are 2-5 for the season, coming off a 3-2 win over the Austin Akins Eagles.
Kickoff for San Marcos- Buda Johnson is set for 7 p.m. at Buda Johnson.
