Senior outside hitter Laney Hennessee was named the Texas High School Coaches Association Class 4A Most Valuable Player as part of the 2024-2025 Super Elite Team.

The nominations are determined by current members of the THSCA.

Hennessee played an integral role for the Texans who went to win their first state championship since 2007, beating the Canyon Randall Raiders 3-2 after trailing 2-0 in the final. Hennessee was later named the MVP of the final.

Joining Hennssee on the Super Elite Team is fellow senior Rhagen Masur.

Masur played a pivotal role at the libero position and was the backbone for the Texans defense. Masur finished the year with 428 digs, 54 serving aces and 64 assists. During the season, Masur surpassed 1,000 career digs.
