Before the freeze hits, warm your soul with some local art and some good beer. Tonight at 7 p.m., I will be making my way to We Luv Video in Austin to attend the world premiere of local filmmaker Jeffrey Garcia’s 3rd feature film titled MEAT MACHINE. This movie was shot in San Marcos with a majority of the cast being San Marcos artists and locals. Also, Jeffrey is my boyfriend, and I help produce and act in his films; So I am so excited to share this project with our friends and movie lovers alike. Saturday you can find me running around Roughhouse Brewery for their 6th Anniversary Party and release of their new fruited sour beer. There will be music from 1 to 4 p.m. by The Lonesome Heroes and a pop up shop from local artist Rene Perez. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., so it will be a full day full of fun. I’m a self proclaimed sour beer aficionado, so I am thrilled to try the new beer titled “78666.” Keep up to date on all things local and lager at @roughhousebrewing on instagram.
