Rattlers drop game against Cibolo Steele

SMHS BOYS BASKETBALL

San Marcos fell to Cibolo Steele on the road Friday night, losing to the Knights 80-69.

The Rattlers fall to 1513 overall and 1-4 in district play. San Marcos is 1.5 games behind fourth place trailing Converse Judson and Buda Johnson.

Senior Josiah Hollmon led the team in scoring with 26 followed by senior Cash Good 23 points. Senior Donovan Riddick was third in scoring with 13. Riddick also led the team in rebounds with 10 to complete the double-double.

San Marcos returns home Friday to complete the first round of district play when the Rattlers host the New Braunfels Canyon Cougars. Canyon is coming off a 70-56 loss to Judson last Friday and are currently 11-16 overall and 0-4 in district play.

Tip-off for Friday’s game is set for 7 p.m.
