Kali was voted Best New Artist at the 2024 San Marcos Music Awards. Fill your Friday with music by hopping over to Jacks Roadhouse for a free show sponsored by F.U.N.S., a music media and booking collective based here in San Marcos. Explore local Texas bands like Female Gallery, Still Be Friends and KNETX. The show is 18 and over and doors open at 9:30 p.m. For more fun shows and insight to the local music scene check out @f.u.n.sog on instagram. On Sunday, Jan. 12, head out to Roughhouse Brewery for ‘Seasons of Science’ an all ages event hosted by the Texas State University Department of Biology. The event runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be guided nature explorations at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. as well as come and go crafts, games and lessons.
