TXST WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Texas State bounced back from a tough loss to archrival UTSA to beat the Marshall Thundering Herd 60-49 in the conference opener for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats improved their record to 7-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Texas State trailed 3123 at halftime but outscored the Thundering Herd 37-18 in the second half for the crucial road win.
Texas State was led by senior power forward Jaylin Foster who finished the game with a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Ja’Mia Harris was second in scoring eight points followed by senior guard Destiny Terrell with seven points.
Terrell and senior Morgan Hill were second in rebounding at seven.
Texas State returns to play Thursday at home against Georgia State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
