“Crimes Of The Heart” by Beth Henley is the Wimberley Players’ drama selection for 2025. Presented Feb. 21 to March 16, the play is directed by Tysha Noel.

The comedy, “Lend Me A Soprano” by Ken Ludwig opens on the WP stage April 25 and continues through May 18. Directed by Whitney Marlett, the play reverses traditional roles in this screwball comedy inspired by Ludwig’s Tony Award-winning masterpiece, “Lend Me A Tenor.”

“Sweeney Todd,” with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and adapted by Christopher Bond from the book by Hugh Wheeler is the Players’ musical for their 2025 season. Directed by Todd Martin, the musical runs July 11 to Aug. 3.

Follow the tragic journey of Sweeney Todd, a barber wrongfully imprisoned, whose quest for vengeance against the man who shattered his life spirals into a whirlwind of moral complexity and obsession. As Todd’s dark desires consume him, he finds an unlikely ally in the enterprising Mrs. Lovett, whose meat pies become the talk of the town — though perhaps for all the wrong reasons. “Sweeney Todd” is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). The comedy, “King O’ The Moon,” by Tom Dudzick and directed by Rebecca Woods is the second comedy to be presented by the Wimberley Players. The production will be presented Sept. 12 to Oct. 5.

Just in time for the holidays, the Players will bring “The Man Who Came To Dinner” by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman to their stage Nov. 14 to Dec. 7. When the brash and witty radio personality Sheridan Whiteside slips on ice and is confined to the home of a Midwestern family just before Christmas, hilarity ensues. His uninvited presence brings chaos, quirky friends, and a flurry of festive mishaps that turn their holiday plans upside down. This holiday classic comedy, with its sharp dialogue and heartwarming message about the true spirit of the season, is the perfect way to celebrate the joy and laughter of the holidays. “The Man Who Came To Dinner” is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection.
