FIRST RESPONDERS OPERATIONS SUPPORT TEAM
The Sheriff’s Department received a hefty donation that will help to bolster its services. On Nov. 21, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard received a generous gift from FROSTI (First Responders Operations Support Team, Inc.): a fully equipped and custom- wrapped equipment trailer. The ceremony took place in front of the Public Safety Building at 810 S. Stagecoach Trail.
The donation marks a significant step in supporting the Honor Guard’s mission to represent the Sheriff’s Office at community events, including funerals for fallen officers. The trailer will allow the team to securely transport vital ceremonial equipment, ensuring their ability to serve with dignity and professionalism.
“At FROSTI, our mission is to empower First Responders with the tools and resources they need to continue their vital work,” said Thaddeus Foster, FROSTI founder and president. “We are proud to support the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard and the invaluable role they play in serving their community.”
FROSTI (First Responders Operations Support Team, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting First Responders and their communities through outreach, education and direct assistance. FROSTI aims to foster a culture of gratitude and empowerment for those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
The Honor Guard’s ceremonial duties include presenting the colors, participating in parades and honoring fallen officers. Sheriff Gary Cutler expressed his gratitude for the donation, highlighting the importance of the Honor Guard’s work.
“Well, first and foremost, when the FROSTI team came forward with this, it was just an amazing donation,” Cutler said. “Our Honor Guard members are asked to travel all over and post their colors regularly. They have a lot of equipment to take with them, and this trailer is just an unbelievable gift. We greatly appreciate it and are proud to accept it on behalf of our office and community.”
The trailer, which features a custom wrap showcasing the identity of the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, reflects a partnership rooted in mutual respect and a shared commitment to honoring First Responders.
FROSTI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Texas, focuses on providing support to First Responders through resources, infrastructure, and community collaboration. Foster emphasized that donations like this are at the heart of FROSTI’s mission.
“Today, we did the ribbon cutting on a trailer that we’re donating to help the Honor Guard honor fallen officers and support their families,” Foster said.
