Jason Rodriguez Zavala, 41, was arrested and faces a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon “Just before 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, the San Marcos Police Department activated SWAT in the 900 block of Sycamore Street,” the city of San Marcos stated. “The response was initiated after receiving a report of an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, during which the victim reportedly fired a shot at the suspect.”
According to the city, Zavala has a criminal history and was reportedly under the influence of narcotics during the time of the incident. Police did not find Zavala at the property, but patrol units located and arrested the suspect off-property after SWAT cleared the scene.
