BOBCATS FALL TO TCU Texas State Men’s Basketball team suffered their first loss of the season in a 76-71 defeat to the TCU Horned Frogs.

Despite the loss, Head Coach Terrence Johnson was still proud of the team for competing against tougher competition despite having a limited lineup with six players logging over 25 minutes on the floor.

“It was a hard-fought game,” Johnson said. “I think whenever you walk into a Big XII arena, you know what you’re going to get. I’m proud of my guys as they fought really, really hard. We were a little short-handed tonight, but I will take that effort from those guys every night. Coach Dixon has a great team and they’re going to be really good in Big XII play. Hopefully, this is a step for us in the right direction.”

Senior Tylan Pope led the team in scoring with 17 points followed by senior Dylan Dawson with 15. Senior Joshua O’Garro was third in scoring with 14 followed by sophomore Kaden Gumbs with 10.

Texas State will be back on the road this Saturday against Abilene Christian.

Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m.
